Miscellaneous Information:

Hello! My name is Michelle West and I am very excited to be the school counselor at EB Wilson. This will be my third year as a school counselor.  As the school counselor at EB Wilson, I will be supporting  students with academic, career, and social/emotional development.

I have lived in Middle Tennessee for quite a while now. Prior to moving to Tennessee, I lived in many different states because my father was in the army. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in counseling, with concentrations in school and mental health counseling, from Austin Peay State University. While in graduate school, I worked at APSU as a graduate assistant for the Office of Student Transitions, interned as a school counselor in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System, and interned as a mental health counselor in a boy's group home in Nashville, TN. I am currently working on taking coursework toward a certificate in applied behavior analysis.

Throughout the school year, I will be providing individual counseling services to students, collaborating with school staff, parents, and community members, and ensuring that students are on track to graduate and transition into the college or career of their choice. If you would like to refer your student for counseling or if you would like to speak to me about anything, please feel free to call or email me at any time.
